As a Salvos Stores volunteer, you'll be joining a friendly, caring team of people who give their spare time to help the Salvos. You'll also have the satisfaction of knowing you're using your talents in a positive, creative way. We will place you in the area best suited to your skills and we offer training for every volunteer.

Retail
- Putting stock on display
- Building displays
- Customer service
- Housekeeping
Administration
- Filing
- Assisting with telephone queries
- Liaising with various stores in the area
- Coordinating volunteer rosters and activities
Call centre
- Assisting with collection scheduling
- Using “Truck Run” software to make bookings
- General administration duties
Maintenance
- Assisting with general maintenance in warehouse and/or stores
- Repairing or cleaning furniture
- Restoration of old furniture
- Testing and/or repair of electrical appliances/computers
Production
- Sorting clothes, bric-a-brac, toys, books, etc.
- Assisting with tagging and pricing of donations
- Hanging clothing
Trucks
- Truck driving or assisting with collections and deliveries of donations
